| Please join us at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 16, here at Epiphany, for a presentation about Christians in Southern Sudan followed by an ice cream and watermelon social. Richmond has become the new home for many refugees from Southern Sudan. We are blessed to have a number in our community. The stories of their homeland are heart-wrenching. After a peace agreement in 2005, their families began to return to rebuild their villages. Please join us for an afternoon of fellowship and to hear the story of how four young Sudanese adults are trying to help their village build a church.
There will be a Worship Committee Meeting on Monday, August 18 @ 6:30 PM in the parlor.
Filipino Festival at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 8200 Woodman Road. Come & celebrate with them on Saturday, August 9, from 10:00 AM until 8 PM. Once again, the Philippine cuisine and culture, a unique mixture of oriental and western influences, will be featured in foods, drinks, stage presentations. A summer series Caring for Your Soul-Christian Spiritual Traditions and Practices is offered at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:30 PM. All are welcome, no registration is required.
Stewardship: Our commitment of our pledge of money is an acknowledgement that all we have is a gift from God, and we are choosing to honor God by returning to God a portion of what we have received for the work of Jesus Christ through our church.
