Church School

"Kids in Christ's Kare" or K.I.C.K. is the name given to Epiphany's Church School.  It is held every Sunday morning from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday of Pentecost (mid-May).  Classes are offered for three different age groups, toddlers, grades 1st - 4th and the Middle School Grades.

Classes for Grades 1st through 4th begin at 10:15 a.m. and end at approximately 11:30 a.m.  At 11:30 a.m. (after conclusion of the Sermon) children join their families upstairs in the church.  Kathy Jimerson, a member of the congregation, is our volunteer Church Director.  She works closely with the volunteer teachers in developing the religious curriculum.  This year we are using the "Pick Up and Do" curriculum by David C. Cook Ministries.  Children learn Bible lessons via drama, puppet shows, and hands-on crafts.  Children also learn about the Episcopal Church traditions and services. Classrooms are located in the downstairs section of the Parish Hall.

The Middle School class, grades 5th through 8th, meets every other Sunday from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. with outdoor activities, trips and unique adventures celebrating our connections with God, each other and our community.

The Nursery

Nursery Room care is available from 10:15-12:15 for children two and under. The room is staffed by responsible adult and junior volunteers who are members of the Epiphany family. The Nursery is located just down the hallway from the Church.

Vacation Bible School

Gray Corbett and helpers plan, organize, and run Lakeside Summer Nights in mid-August.  This  unique style of Vacation Bible School lets young people between the ages of 3 and 12, see, hear, taste, smell and touch a bible-time village experience with lots of hands-on learning.  It is held at night from 6 - 8 p.m. and includes dinner.  There is no charge for attending.
